The Kenya Child Life Team Needs Your Help!

There is an incredible child life team that has been working at Sally Test Pediatric Centre at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya for the past 8 years. The medical team has limited pharmaceutical supplies to help children cope with incredibly painful procedures. They rely on child life to use their skills in medical preparation, procedural support, distraction, play and creative arts to help patients cope.

The child life team has a low supply of distraction toys/activities for their patients and they need your help!

They are seeking donations of distraction toys, preferable non-battery operated, such as:

KenyaChildLife

Morgan Livingstone, Certified Child Life Specialist in private practice, has been the clinical supervisor of the child life team in Kenya, since they began in 2007. She will be making her annual trip to the Sally Test Pediatric Centre in early September and will be able to deliver the toys to her team.
