Five years ago today, my first son was born and my life drastically changed. Like many other parents I have made many sacrifices to provide him with a well-balanced and happy life. Leaving a full-time job in a clinical setting was a fairly large decision, especially for this length of time. I would never trade all of the little moments in his life that I was part of, the good, the bad and the ugly.
He is an amazing little boy with a huge personality. He can light up a room with his smile or silly jokes. His free style dance moves would knock you off your socks and an invitation to play in his creative world, is something that should never be passed up.
Thank you, little man for teaching me so much about life, parenting, love, patience, playfulness and forgiveness. I feel like the luckiest mom in the world to call you my son!
Happy 5th Birthday, Gavin. You are officially a whole hand!
