Being a very busy mom of two, I look the part. You could spot me out in a sea of people, as I have the typical “mom look.” You know that mommy fashion; wearing the same pair of jeans or yoga pants four days in a row, t-shirt with a stain, hoodie and tennis shoes. My hair is in a pony, my makeup consists of chapstick and loose powder foundation to cover the dark circles under my eyes and the only jewelry that I wear is my wedding ring. Yep, the mom look.
Well, Monday night I had the opportunity to transform out of my dirty pair of yoga pants into clean, stain free attire, to attend The Center for HOPE‘s annual family holiday dinner. I had the opportunity to clean up my style with a new pair of pink pearl earrings from Pearl & Clasp.
The earrings were beautiful and made me feel more like a woman instead of just a mom. I haven’t worn a pair of earrings in 7 years, gosh that sounds terrible to say out loud, but it’s true. I found myself pulling my hair back behind my ears to show them off a little more.
