Spotlight on Baby in Mind

The child life profession is continuing to expand beyond hospital walls. Private practices and alternative settings are filling the gaps in services to reach children and families in the community.

I am excited to introduce Baby in Mind, a practice that was recently launched by two passionate Certified Child Life Specialists, in Northern California, Emily Murray, CYT, MS, CCLS and Jeanette Molineaux, MA, CCLS

Baby in Mind LLC was born from the premise that empowered adults help children heal. We provide parent education and support for families coping with the aftermath of a traumatic event, or facing a life challenge. We also offer consulting services and lecture series for small and large groups, designed to address some of the more common life challenges that all families face, and to strengthen parents’ skills when dealing with them

Mission Statement:

Empowered adults help children heal.

We know that loving and healthy relationships are the key to joyful families.

Therefore, we will foster an environment for the whole family to grow alongside one another, and we will support pediatric professionals in their journey to aid children and families.

We understand that parents need more support than ever, in this sometimes scary and unpredictable world.

If your family finds themselves in the darkness of loss or trauma, we are not afraid to accompany you on this unexpected path. If you work with families recovering from trauma, we know that you are at risk for secondary trauma– we will support you and provide resources for your health and care.

We believe in the power of all communities– that the very dynamic, diverse force of community drives us forward, and that, most importantly:

Everyone can make a difference in the life of a child.
